Training of Generation 0101 trainers in Rijeka

GENERATION LOGO trasp 01For one week in Rijeka (Croatia) 35 educators from 6 countries (Croatia, Cyprus, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania and Turkey) participated in the “Training of trainers” of the project Generation 0101, an European project with a goal to focus on ICT education for unemployed youth.


Final project conference in Vilnius

IMG 9576Project TRANS eScouts final conference was held on the 11th of September in Vilnius, the capital city of Lithuania. During the conference very interesting presentations were given by guest speakers from European Commission, representatives from Lithuania's Governmental institutions which are responsible for youth employment and digital agenda, Lithuania's national digital coalition partners, representatives from public libraries and youth organisations, TRANS eScouts project partners: LIKTA, Esplai Foundation, D.O.T and TELECENTAR as well as project efacilitators.


Educational safer internet events in summer camps

This summer association “Langas į ateitį“ initiated a campaign for children summer camps to raise the awareness about safer use of the internet and the potential dangers that lurk in cyberspace. Through June and July 10 summer camps were visited where mor
e than 700 youngsters have participated in entertaining and educational events called „Safe on the Internet during summer time!“


Trans eScouts pilot training has reached its final stage in Lithuania

International project Trans eScouts - Empowering eFacilitators for intergenerational dialogue has reached its final stage. During this project the aim of it was to provide an opportunity for people from different generations to communicate and help each other in the process.

The piloting stage of the Trans e-Scouts project has been completed in Lithuania and all participants have achieved great success in exchanging knowledge and training their counterparts. Both senior participants and young participants expressed their compliments to the project as it helped them to better understand the people from the other generation and gain a lot of useful knowledge that otherwise would be hard and would take a very long time to acquire.


Lithuania actively encourage its residents to participate in national and European politics

Association “Langas į ateitį” dedicated the 7th of May to foster active citizenship of Lithuanians. National and European e-Participation possibilities and online tools to participate in policies and policy-making were presented to active seniors in Vilnius.

More than 50 participants


The “European e-Participation day” event was organized at Vilnius central library which is always eager to lt.jpgencourage new and interesting initiatives. To fill the conference room with the most motivated participants aged 65+ we cooperated with two organizations of active seniors – the Third Age University and the seniors’ community Vilniaus Bočiai. Here in Lithuania these organizations unite seniors who are continually involved in lifelong learning, as well as various social and local community activities. Such cooperation proved itself to be very useful and resulted in gathering of over 50 participants who were motivated to discover modern ways to participate in national and European policies and policy-making.


Lithuania starts a project that accelerates training of IT specialists


Lithuania is one of six EU countries which recently started  implementing training-for-employment initiative focusing  on ICT skills according to fit4jobs training model.

Association Langas į ateitį is the coordinator of fit4jobs national activities in Lithuania. Vilnius State Unemployment agency has been invited to join as a social partner for this Project. On April 8th the partnership agreement was signed. „We decided to join forces to overcome the recent gap in Lithuania – great demand of IT skilled people and a big number of unemployed youth “, said Loreta Križinauskienė, managing director of Langas į ateitį.


Educational internet safety activities in public libraries

Due to increasing importance of information security the annual Safer Internet Day promotes safer and more responsible use of online technology and mobile phones, especially amongst children and young people across the world. In Lithuania the whole second week of February was dedicated to educational activities on safer use of modern technologies.


NGO Connection Day 2015 in Lithuania

In the beginning of February association Langas I Ateiti together with Microsoft organized the 6th annual NGO Connection Day 2015 in Lithuania. This year effective cloud computing services for NGOs, organization data security and opportunities for NGOs during new EU Programming period 2014-2020 were in the spotlight.


Lithuanian, Latvian and Croatian e-facilitators experience an intergenerational learning methodology (ILBES)

E-Facilitators broaden their professional horizons learning new ways of building communities in telecenters. 15 representatives from 8 Lithuanian, Latvian and Croatian organizations were invited to get familiar with recently developed Intergenerational Learning in Blended Environments and Spaces (ILBES) methodology.


Safer Internet Day 2015 in Lithuania

On 10 February, 2015 the Safer Internet Day will be celebrated for the twelfth time in Lithuania and other countries around the world. With the strapline for the campaign “Let’s create a better internet together!” it encourages the users of the internet to act positively online.
