Safer Internet Project in Lithuania continues

meskisIn the end of June, Lithuanian Safer Internet Centre (SIC) received the news, that European Commission is approving its partial funding to continue SIC activities in Lithuania, as well as other European countries. The Safer Internet Project in Lithuania is being implemented by four partners’ consortium: the Centre of Information Technologies in Education under the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Lithuania, the Communications Regulatory Authority of the Republic of Lithuania, NGO “Child line” and association “Langas į ateitį”.

Lithuanian SIC will continue important awareness raising activities, provide hotline and helpline services, with a purpose to encourage better and safer internet. Children and adolescents will remain the main target group; however teachers, librarians or parents will also be involved. The new stage of the Safer Internet Project will start on July 2016 and last till the very end of 2018. The project is co-financed by the European Union's Connecting Europe Facility.
