Training project in 2010
Information society stimulating association Langas į ateitį (Window to the future) signed a contract with the Ministry of Social Security and Labour of Lithuania and the European Social Fund Agency to provide EU financial support to national level trainings for residents of Lithuania. Langas į ateitį launches a new project titled "Online Services for a Lithuanian E-Citizen" and intends to introduce and train using ICT and e-services to 16.000 adult residents of Lithuania.
"During our project we will concentrate on three target groups - unemployed persons, seeking for the job, disabled and the habitants of rural areas. These three groups because of social conditions, living locations and their disabilities are probably the most excluded from the society and easily affected. Upon finishing our courses they will be able to easily integrate into society and labour market, will have more opportunities to o learn and communicate." - said „Langas į ateitį“ executive Loreta Križinauskienė.
According to her, the project will provide opportunities for digital exclusion reduction, will help to solve problems, emerging to habitants, without computer literacy knowledge. During the project, the it is planned to cooperate with social partners: Lithuanian Labour Exchange, the Association of disabled of Lithuania, PIAP founders.
Knowledge society development and e-services usage stimulation is one of the goals of Lithuania, emphasized in Universal program of computer literacy. By means of EU Structural Funds, the goal might be achieved faster. The project titled "Online Services for a Lithuanian E-Citizen" is scheduled for 20 months until the end of the February, 2012.
The project is in a prepaparatory phase. For updates, please observe the information, published on the website.
